CAUTION
!!!
If
the printer has an I/O card, remove it
before
re-setting the Maintenance count.
1) Hold
down the SELECT and CANCEL
buttons while powering on the printer.
(hold down these two buttons until all
lights are illuminated and the display
is blank) Release the buttons.
2) Press
and release MENU button then
press and release SELECT button.
The printer will read SERVICE MODE
briefly and then begins an internal test.
After the printer has passed the self
test and warmed up, SERVICE MODE
will be displayed once more.
3) Press
and release MENU button once
to display the SERVICE MENU
4) Press
and release ITEM button twice
to get to MAINTENANCE COUNT.
Press and release SELECT button
until the curser gets to a digit that
does not read zero. When the curser gets
to a number other than zero, use the VALUE
button ( either + or - ) to change the
value of that digit to zero. After the
digit value is zero press and release
the SELECT button.
5) After
all of the digit values in the MAINTENANCE
COUNT read zero and the * is present
on the right hand side of the display,
press and release the GO button
twice to get out of SERVICE MODE.
6) After
the printer display reads READY
press and release the MENU
button once, then press and release the
ITEM button twice. This will
get you to the PRINT CONFIGURATION
display. Press and release the SELECT
button once to print the configuration
page. The bottom item of the PRINTER
INFORMATION portion of the configuration
page should read:
Pages Since Last Maintenance: 0.
